Spring Conference and Annual General MeetingThe Annual Spring Conference began in 2006, and held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting of the Association. It has been a valuable tool in increasing the attendance of the AGM, as well as providing an opportunity for exposure for the members to JFW initiatives. The Conference is designed to be “family friendly” as it is held at a central hotel facility with private rooms, kids pool, and entertaining and educational programs offered to engage the “warden aged” registrants. The close of the weekend is typically a “Red Shirt Banquet” held at the hotel, where all attendees enjoy a great meal, and evening entertainment. The Banquet is also used for the annual Awards ceremony for the association. The Annual General Meeting is one of two yearly “in person” meetings of the AJFWA. This is the business meeting, and where the general membership has the opportunity to engage the provincial Board of Directors. This is also where the Board can engage the membership, report on the past years business, and showcase any new initiatives and programs in the JFW Program.
